CAB creative air bridge
Physical Cinema Festival presents CAB – an initiative connecting musicians in Iceland with dance- and art film
makers abroad. The aim is to support international collaborations between the two fields and expand the pool
of multidisciplinary video works.
The biennial Physical Cinema Festival organizes smaller events in the years between the festival, and 2024 is
dedicated to the launch of CAB which will premiere at the 2025 edition. This year’s event is on April 20 in Mengi,
Reykjavik, with a screening of selected art films to improvised live music scores.
Prior to the screening, local musicians are invited for a presentation and discussion of the CAB initiative and how
it may best support them in potential collaborations. The meeting is for established artists who recognise the
artistic and promotional value of mixing genres.
