ALL EYES

Lækjartorg, 101 Reykjavik
All Eyes is a largescale video projection on the facade of a central building with a suitable front facing a park, square or similar open site. Hundreds of close-ups of local people from all around the city look at us with a common question;
What does the future hold for me? In their gazes there is hope, fear, memories and wonder.
The project is participatory, socially engaging and acts as a subtle and
philosophical reminder of our core human values, against all social divide.
The demanding gazes are hard to avoid, when looking long enough.
In this digital art project, the artists Peder Bjurman and Johannes Ferm Winkler are connecting the institutions, the city, and the inhabitants surrounding it. During a week of filming, faces and voices are gathered from people of all walks of life, of varying backgrounds and ethnicity. What connects them is their gaze, looking at us with one thought only; What does the future hold for us?
