EARTHWORKS
SE/US | 2022 | 23,18 | Peder Bjurman and Mark Holthusen

Earthworks is a contemplation on time, destruction and creation, with a small caterpillar as its only protagonist, arduously plowing through a muddy field somewhere in the Hudson Valley.
“It’s a meditation on effort, and a hopeless case of structuring the unfathomable. It’s something of an uphill illusion; wherever you go there is a hill to climb. If not, you build one on your own. Or three.”, Peder Bjurman says.
Concept and direction: Peder Bjurman
Drone photography, D.O.P. and editing: Mark Holthusen.
Music score: David Coulter
Cello: Julia Kent
Shot entirely with a Hasselblad Drone in Hudson Valley, New York.
Supported by the Swedish Art Grants committee, Konstnärsnämnden.
