IS I 2019 I Brák Jónsdóttir
Mundane approach, dilation of material and a study of texture was the subject matter of Brák´s work, titled Sponges. The material acted on her like the silence between notes in a composition or an appreciated chance to read between the lines in a poetical breath and stillness as well as delicate motion.
Brák Jónsdóttir b. 1996 studies at the Iceland University of the Arts. She has been involved with arts and culture most of her life and her practise mainly defined by her interest in installation and video work. She is one of the founders of an experimental exhibition and performance venue in Akureyri, Iceland called Kaktus and she organises and takes part in various projects and collaborative work in Iceland, Denmark and The Netherlands
